Character Building {Creative}

Character Building Title

We are on a new adventure!

Won’t you come along and join us? This fall we are learning how to have strong character. We are using the book, A Child’s Book of Character Building, along with a bunch of other activities to round out our experience.

CREATIVE: Doing something in a new way.
"Then God looked over all that He had made, and it was excellent in every way."
-Genesis 1:31

This week the kids got to learn about being creative. We talked about how creative God was when He created the heavens and the earth, and all they contain.  We read the story about how Jesus creatively healed a blind man by spitting into dirt, and rubbing the mud onto the blind mans eyes.  We also read through our devotions about how we can be creative at home, at school, and at play.

The kids learned their bible verse, and new song "CREATIVE"...

They each made a banner for their rooms that said, “God made __________ special.”  Then they had a chance to make a new creation of their own.  They all wanted to paint, so that’s what we did.

At the end of the week, they  watched a Veggie Tales: A Snoodles Tale, which is a great lesson in understanding how God created us all to be unique!

I was thrilled all week to hear each of them declare how creative things were around them. This study seems to have opened their eyes to the beauty that surrounds us, and also to their own creativity!
