Since I’m such a naturally reflective kind of gal, I recently went through all my files of photos from this past year. I thought I would do a reprise of my Year in Pictures post from last year since it was so fun to look back at what we had done. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This year we:
found out girls like to build Legos too…
flipping pancakes is pretty fun…
learned the rest of the letters..
broke three pairs of glasses…
tried to pogo…
shadowed our big sissy…everywhere…
Drank 18 route 44 Diet Cokes with 10 cherries…
insisted that making a dirt snowman was a good idea, and then cried when it didn’t work…
survived another really cold winter…
and played in lots of snow…
drank 44 cups of hot cocoa…
stopped eating wheat
…
doodled on all of our school work…
tried to keep the counters cleaned off, but failed miserably…
discovered gluten free eating wasn’t easy or fun, but it was better than being sick all the time…
Built 12 fires…
Painted some really cool giraffes…
Learned that baking is really fun, especially when mom lets you try it alone…
Discovered pointillism…
played a lot of games…
Made 1260 lunches…
finally found confidence in reading…
Had our first Valentines Party…
made Mom an espresso mug…
got spoiled with Mary Kay…
started Big Girl chores…learned how to roller skate…
felt blessed with friendship…
Learned how to tell time…
finally went to Chuck E Cheese thanks to Grandpa John and Grandma Gina…
Learned how to draw a lot of animals…
jumped off the stairs and into Dads arms 287 times…
discovered the cat was too lazy to clean himself….bought a de-matter…
washed 624 loads of laundry…made 8 batches of laundry soap…
had no cavities!
got 14 haircuts (Saul, Isaac, and Nate)…
became obsessed with sitting inside boxes…
and loved all things horse…
went dairy free…started feeling much better too…
read through THE BEST series…seriously…
laughed hysterically at these videos…
said “Goodbye” and then “Hello” to some amazing friends…
went on 4 field trips…learned how to add double digits…
learned about Hieroglyphs…wrote “Here lies King Nate, the worlds greatest King of all time” instead of the original assignment of writing your name…
planted a replica of the Nile river…cried when Duck ate all the grass…
developed a bald spot from picking out our hair…twice…
had another amazing Easter dinner…
participated in the school Arts Festival…
made a farm for rolly pollies..
Said “Goodbye” to two dear friends…
mastered the Hot Roller…
doctored 49 boo boos…
learned how to wink…
checked out and read 936 books…
celebrated when Isaac turned 10!
got spoiled for being a Mom for 10 years…
learned a new braid…did school at the park..
colored every morning before breakfast…
celebrated when our beautiful niece graduated…
gave the cat three baths…again with the lazy thing…
celebrated 15 years of marriage…
kept 4 hungry kids fed…with lots and lots of groceries!
Learned that a bad attitude gets you some lawn mower time…
and it’s kind of fun to follow your brother…
learned how to throw like a girl…and make nachos like a boss…
got to hang out with the coolest ladies, every third Friday night…
picnic lunches were pretty common…
so was sprinkler fun…
played Yahtzee 57 times…
went to a GoFish concert…for FREE! (Thank you Dawn
)
started Speech Therapy…
tried Falafel…..
caught 78 bajillion grasshoppers….and talked about grasshoppers ALLTHETIME…
Went on another Fake Camping Trip…
never outgrew the “Temper Tantrum”….there is always next year….
went on a Treasure Hunt…
